Horsehead and Flame Nebulae
The Flame Nebula or NGC 2024, is in the Constellation Orion. The bright star Alnitak, the easternmost star in the Belt of Orion, is the bright star in the center of this image and the famous Horsehead Nebula is to the lower right. It is about 900 to 1,500 light-years away.
