GM-8 with SV80S
This is my Losmandy GM-8 with the Gemini goto system on a Losmandy HD tripod. The blue refractor is a Stellarvue SV80S, it is a Lomo made 80/480 triplet and has the 2" Feather Touch focuser. Next in line is the TeleVue TRF-2008 0.8 focal reducer/field flattener which brings the combination down to 384mm at f/4.8. Behind it all is a self modified Canon 350D with the Baader FACF-2 filter replacing the stock Canon filter.
Riding on top is my Mini Borg 50 guide scope with a CCD Labs Q-guide camera. Both these scopes give such a wide field that conventional guide rings are not needed which helps keep my setup light.
I took this picture for the "Refractors" forum on Cloudynights.com just to show the scopes, which is why the Gemini box and hand controller and all the wires needed to make things actually work are not present. The setup is balanced in both axes and runs very nicely with the single 7# counterweight.
